Saltcura week Curacao

This week we are on Curacao to talk about salt-damage in plasters.

We gave a sscientific ymposium at the University of Curacao. We gave a demonstration on one of the monumental villas in Willemstad with the mortar containg capsules to prevent salt damage that was developped by Ameya Kamat in his PhD. Furthermore, we had a stakeholdermeeting with people from monumentenfods and monumentenzorg, with architects, consultants, material producers and contractors. This turmed out to be very fruitful and we made plans to do more trials on Curacao and other islands in the Carebean and to scale up the production of capsules and mortars for plastering.
