first trial in small TSTM

Minfei did today the first trial to make samples in the 3D printed mould for our small-TSTM machine. The results is not perfect yet (some air inside), but looks very promissing. Soon you will find the first real results here on testing the samples.

Yesterday Anne Linde van Overmeir defended her PhD-thesis on 3D concrete printing. She did a great job, which means we have a new Dr. Congratulations! You can download her thesis from the people-tab.

This week I am attending the 3D concrete printing conference in Hong Kong. The conference is in the Science Centre and tomorrow morning I will be giving a Plenary lecture in this golden egg that you see on the picture behind Prof. Yamei Zhang from Southeast University and myself.

Visit to DTU

Today we visited DTU where we got to see the 'concrete'-labs and we had a discussion and presentation on research at DTU and TUD. Afterwards Prof. Ole Mejlhede Jensen took us on a tour around Copenhagen to see concrete-architecture. Some highlights are in the pictures below.
